While it has been a cold and snowy winter, we have weathered the season with warm stews, winter soups and comforting casseroles. But the hint of spring is in the air, so we can end our hibernation and start enjoying the fresh springtime greens that are peeking out of the ground and arriving in our stores.
It is a time of fresh starts and new thoughts of cleaning and cooking. While we check all the expiration dates on our dairy and canned items as we use them, we forget about our spices. Check out Explore the Store to learn how long to keep a spice, what to keep and when to replace.
In Kitchen 411 and HealthWise, you will find information on what is new in spring produce and what is good for you. Perhaps you will find inspiration to try something new with a great recipe like Potato Leek Soup. And, you will love the freshness the Roasted Asparagus Salad with Pecorino & Lemon brings to your palate.
